Sridhar Rajagopalan, Non Executive Vice Chairman of Educational Initiatives (EI), is an IIT-IIM alum and educational entrepreneur who has helped change the way student learning outcomes are evaluated in India. Sridhar co-founded and ran Eklavya School in Ahmedabad before starting EI. He is a member of various central and state government committees related to education, including the committee for devising model rules for the Right to Education Act in Gujarat. He is a member of NCERT’s National Expert Group on Assessment in Elementary Education (NEGAEE) and a trustee of Pratham, Gujarat and other educational institutions. Rajagopalan previously worked at IBM India.
Established in 2001, Educational Initiatives believes in making a difference in education through personalized learning and ensuring that students learn with understanding. EI’s ASSET test is taken by over 350,000 students while Mindspark, EI’s adaptive learning program, is used by over 60,000 students in India, the Middle East and the United States. EI also works with government schools in over 20 Indian states and in large-scale assessment projects in Bhutan, the Maldives, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.
